Overseeing the product from its design and manufacturing, through its various means of transportation, to its final use.
Cyanide Code Certification Audits
The cyanide code certification audit is the crown jewel of GR Auditing’s services, in which the 9 principles of the code are audited, focusing on gold and silver mining.
- Principle 1: Production and Purchase
- Principle 2: Transportation
- Principle 3: Handling and Storage
- Principle 4: Operations
- Principle 5: Decommissioning
- Principle 6: Worker Safety
- Principle 7: Emergency Response
- Principle 8: Training
- Principle 9: Dialogue and Disclosure
Principle 1, focusing on production, and Principle 2, on sodium cyanide transportation, are met if the cyanide producer and its entire supply chain have been previously certified.
Principles 3 through 9 are the responsibility of the mines and are evaluated for compliance with the cyanide code.
The results of this certification audit are: full compliance, substantial compliance, and non-compliance.
In the case of substantial compliance, a corrective action plan is developed to address the non-conformities. Once completed, the mine's status changes to full compliance.
Cyanide Code Diagnostic (GAP Analysis)
The cyanide code consists of 9 principles with their respective practice standards.
- Principle 1: Production and Purchase
- Principle 2: Transportation
- Principle 3: Handling and Storage
- Principle 4: Operations
- Principle 5: Decommissioning
- Principle 6: Worker Safety
- Principle 7: Emergency Response
- Principle 8: Training
- Principle 9: Dialogue and Disclosure
Mining clients request a GAP Analysis when they need to understand their current compliance status with the code. The evaluation is conducted on-site, and a final report is provided detailing the principles that are in compliance and those that need to be addressed to achieve full compliance.
Closure of Non-Conformities from the Diagnostic
A follow-up is provided to the client for reviewing each corrective action until compliance with the cyanide code is achieved.
Once the corrective actions are closed, the company is ready for its certification audit.
In some audits, the client achieves substantial compliance with the cyanide code, leading to the development of an action plan. Once this plan is completed and reviewed by the auditor on-site, full compliance is obtained.
Pre-operational Cyanide Code Audits
An inspection of the 9 principles of the cyanide code is conducted.
For a mine, this review helps visualize its future compliance with the cyanide code.
On the cyanide code website, it appears as a pre-audited mine within the signatory mines section.
This audit is valid while the operation is in the start-up phase. Once the mine is operational, it has six months to complete the certification audit.
Cyanide Code Certification Audits
The cyanide code certification audit is the crown jewel of GR Auditing’s services, where the 5 principles of the code focusing on sodium cyanide production are audited.
- Principle 1: Operations
- Principle 2: Worker Safety
- Principle 3: Monitoring
- Principle 4: Training
- Principle 5: Emergency Response
The results of this certification audit are: full compliance, substantial compliance, and non-compliance.
In the case of substantial compliance, a corrective action plan is developed to address the non-conformities. Once completed, the mine's status changes to full compliance.
Cyanide Code Diagnostic (GAP Analysis)
The cyanide code for sodium cyanide manufacturing plants consists of 5 principles with their respective practice standards.

Cyanide Code Certification Audits
La auditoría de certificación del código del cianuro es la joya de la corona de los servicios de GR Auditing, en la cual se auditan los 3 principios del código para el transporte de cianuro de sodio
- Principle 1: Transportation
- Principle 2: Interim Storage
- Principle 3: Emergency Response
The results of this certification audit are: full compliance, substantial compliance, and non-compliance.
En caso de ser cumplimiento substancial, se elabora un plan de acción correctivo para el cierre de las no conformidades. Una vez completado el plan, el transporte de cianuro cambia su estatus a cumplimiento total.

Hazardous Chemicals Management
We have extensive experience in hazardous chemicals management in electronics manufacturing plants, automotive industries, chemical production, hazardous materials transportation, and the mining industry.
We work across the hazardous materials supply chain (manufacturing, importation, transportation, storage, use, and final disposal of waste).

Implementation of ISO 14001
We are leading auditors of ISO 14001
We assist your company in implementing the environmental management system.
We review your environmental impacts and provide guidance on implementing the environmental management system to reduce those impacts on the environment.
We train your internal auditors, who will help detect non-conformities with ISO 14001 before the final audit.
We conduct GAP Analysis prior to the certification audit.
We assist in reviewing your action plans for each non-conformity.
Development of Response Plan
Companies must have an emergency response plan related to the risks present in their operations.
We assist in developing the emergency response plan by conducting a detailed review of the operation and adapting your evacuation system in accordance with regulations.
We train the individuals involved in this plan, which should be communicated to those exposed as well as to communities or stakeholders.
Workplace Risks Evaluation
Risk and hazard assessments are reviewed to primarily eliminate or decrease their effects.
To achieve this, a comprehensive review of equipment and work operations is necessary to reduce work accidents and enhance worker safety.
A prioritized list of risks is provided, together with recommendations for their elimination or reduction.
Individuals are made aware through established systems such as take two, stop, etc.
